Alica Adel

Alica Adel is a multidisciplinary, results-driven international leader with a proven track record in AI, digitalization, strategy, and large-scale transformation. She possesses domain expertise across aerospace, defense, and manufacturing, including edge intelligence and advanced autonomous systems.
She excels at shaping and executing strategies at the intersection of innovation and business value. She brings extensive experience building cross-sector partnerships with startups, industrials, and academia on a global scale.
Alica Adel combines big-picture, data-driven thinking with an entrepreneurial “doer” mindset, consistently delivering impactful results and fostering high-performing, mission-driven teams grounded in trust and care.
Her professional experience includes significant roles in the aerospace industry at Airbus, in entrepreneurship and in academia, having founded MILTA and Aculence, and advised tech startups, VC funds, and innovation programs. She also has a background in lecturing and program leadership at institutions such as John Molson School of Business and Toulouse Business School. She is also a Board member of Georgia Tech Europe, a public speaker, mentor, and executive coach.
With a background in Computer Science, A. Adel holds an MA in Economics from Concordia University (Summa cum laude), and a Bachelor of Business from John Molson School of Business (With high distinction). A. Adel is bilingual in English and Serbian/Croatian, and advanced in French.
Björn Pötter
Most recently, Dr. Pötter co-founded Dropla Tech ApS, an innovative startup modernizing de-mining through drone surveillance, AI, and robotics. As Chief Product Officer, he drives product innovation by identifying market trends, customer demand, defining use cases, and transforming concepts into commercially viable products and services.
Before Dropla, Dr. Pötter was the Managing Director of IQM France SaS and Head of Product (Vice President) at IQM Quantum Computers Oy. In this role, he held P&L responsibility for the French branch, focusing on applications of quantum computing for aerospace, defense, and cybersecurity, and connecting with the French university and research ecosystem.
As Chief Technology Officer and Executive Board Member at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik GmbH, Dr. Pötter was instrumental in developing the group’s portfolio through technology and innovation across defense and public security, automotive, and cybersecurity business units. ESG was recognized as a TOP100 most-innovative German SME in 2020 and 2021 during his tenure.
His extensive experience at Airbus Group includes serving as Head of Airbus Group Innovations, where he was responsible for central research and innovation, where he defined next-generation research clusters in AI, advanced analytics, communications, autonomy, electrification, advanced materials, and quantum technology. He also held leadership roles as Head of Engineering for C4ISR systems at Airbus Defence and Space, managing up to 600 engineers and ensuring on-time, on-cost, and on-quality project delivery.
Dr. Pötter holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Hamburg (magna cum laude) and a Diploma in Physics from Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel (summa cum laude). He has also served on various boards, including as an Expert for the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation, SPRIN-D. He is fluent in German (native), English (C2), and French (B2).
